Stages (Efva and I) show choreographer Efva Lilja (b.1956) and myself during two summer days in Copenhagen 2016. The year before, in 2015 I attended a lecture with Lilja. Her talk/performance had a significant impact on me and became the starting point for our collaboration.  

​

​The work plays with notions of what kind of relationships can be had between a younger man and an older woman. Beyond readings where the depicted are family, or lovers, what could they be to each other?  Thoughts regarding discipline, submission, ambition, courage and play are set in motion in this mirror game.
